The Leidos Defense Group is seeking a Systems Administrator to support Special Projects engineering and technical services in the C2ISR Division (HBG) based at Robins AFB with operations located worldwide. Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Act as a SME in problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide SME on problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
- Configure and manage Linux, Unix and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Networking: routing and switching using Cisco-based products
- Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
Basic Qualifications
- Top Secret clearance
- IAT level II Certification (i.e., COMPTIA Security)
- BS and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience with MySQL Database and Microsoft Active Directory a plus.
- 3 years' experience with RedHat / Linux / VMware / Windows server (install, configure, maintain, and administer)
- Experience installing and configuring Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
- Works effectively both as a team member and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone, email, and in person with customers and management.
- Experience with creating technical documentation.
- Proven technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability/desire to work in a highly dynamic and challenging environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience with Network Devices such as Load Balancers, Routers, and switches.
- Experience with MySQL Database and Microsoft Active Directory a plus.
- Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing SCAP, ACAS/NESSUS and DISA STIGs
- Experience with DoD implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DCSA, etc.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $152,750.00
