The general salary range for this position is $77,000-$92,000 Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training, and education.
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s most effective animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Technology and Information Solutions department. The Systems Administrator holds a pivotal position within the IT Infrastructure team, responsible for managing, maintaining, and monitoring hardware, software, and other mission-critical systems. This role involves the upkeep and improvement of enterprise platforms, encompassing access control, user support, training, monitoring, and reporting metrics to leadership. Additionally, the Systems Administrator possesses a deep understanding of the organization's systems utilization and its implications. They are instrumental in ensuring systems health and meeting service level agreements (SLAs) in response to user requests.
You will be responsible for:
- Upholding the operational functionality of technology, promptly addressing customer IT incidents, and providing support for escalated Service Desk requests. Expertly troubleshoots user issues to identify solutions and explore potential optimizations and efficiency enhancements;
- Effectively overseeing user access to our Enterprise applications, which encompass a wide range of tools such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 applications, JIRA, Engaging Networks, Data Warehouse, ROI, and more. This management is carried out in collaboration with on-premises Windows Active Directory to maintain a cohesive and highly secure environment;
- Proficiently manages, administers, and troubleshoots mobile devices and users utilizing Microsoft Intune (Windows Desktops) and Jamf (MAC Desktops) to support robust endpoint management. Additionally, providing comprehensive support for Enterprise Mobile Management, encompassing tasks like app store maintenance, policy implementation, device testing, and compliance monitoring, among other responsibilities;
- Understanding the objectives of the Service Desk team and serves as a liaison connecting this group with the systems engineering;
- Playing an active role in the development of technical documentation within the Technology & Information Solutions department, simultaneously participating in the creation of policies, procedures, and standards;
- Staying informed on new and emerging trends and technologies;
- Building an understanding of how all systems are connected across the enterprise;
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience;
- At least two (2) years of equivalent work experience in a relevant technical position and management support experience, preferably in an operations support environment;
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Intune, Auto Pilot, company portal, and other essential endpoint tools;
- Proven experience in the field of Enterprise Mobile Management;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
