The role of the Systems Administrator will coordinate information system projects with management, users, IT staff, and vendors. They will serve as a project leader, with overall responsibility for project implementation, oversee all information systems-related activities for specific client departments, and support internal clients with continual analysis of systems with focus on adding value to or streamlining processes. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for serving others. Knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripheral devices is a must! They should be comfortable working independently and as a contributing member of a team. Meeting deadlines and attention to detail are critical pieces of this position. A Day in the Life of a Systems Administrator INCLUDES:
- Acting as the key technical liaison between computer systems users, vendors, and IT
- Providing project management and support for computerized departmental systems and related projects
- Acting as primary contact for all application systems problems
- Analyzing, debugging, testing, and documenting problems for all systems before moving to production and/or recommending solutions that involve new applications
- Following up on problem resolution and informing employees of status. for all systems before moving to production.
Systems Administrator Skills and qualifications includes:
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements
- 5 years of experience in maintaining server environments and server security
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills
- Knowledge of internal controls
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN/WiFi systems
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripheral devices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016+
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2016/Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of Microsoft Backup Strategies
- Knowledge of VMWare
- Knowledge of Citrix VDI
- Knowledge of VoIP Phone Systems
