Job Duties
The Department of Motor Vehicles is looking to hire a System Support Specialist for a part-time wage position in Richmond, VA. This position is open to current DMV Employees only.
This position is responsible for administrating third level Help Desk /credit card functions to assist all areas of DMV with transaction and processing issues. The incumbent will research problems, document requirements, and write issue logs when the issue being handled is a training or system issue. The incumbent must have a strong understanding of all aspects of the DMV related to Vehicle, Driver, Customer and Motor Carrier business processes. This position will serve an essential part in DL9 and OnBase Landing Zone request handling via CSMA and the HQ Work Units requesting assistance in everyday DMV processes.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience providing credit card support via landing zone request to the Headquarters and CSC staff.
Strong understanding of all aspects of the DMV related to Vehicle, Driver, Customer and Motor Carrier business processes.
Experience with researching problems, documenting requirements, and writing issue logs when the issue being handled is training or a system issue.
Experience helping customers or co-workers to interpret and explain policies, procedures and related laws.
Experience in providing internal and external customer service and support through problem solving and providing solutions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated via experience in presentations, written reports, documents, communication, and email.
Available to work according to established work schedule of Monday through Friday and alternating Saturdays.

This is an hourly/wage position limited to 29 hours per week or 1500 hours during the 12-month period of May 1 - April 30. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. This wage position offers no state benefits.
