Job Title: Army Logistics - Systems Support Specialist
Responsibilities of the Army Logistics - Systems Support Specialist:
McLane Advanced Technologies is seeking to hire a Army Logistics - System Support Specialist to support the U.S. Army.
The Army Logistics - Systems Support Specialist will:
- Determine the nature of issues, distinguishing between system-generated problems and customer-generated issues.
- Collaborate with Database Administrators (DBAs) as needed to address system challenges.
- Utilize the help desk Virtual Call Center (VCC) for efficient communication and issue resolution.
- Employ the government tracking tool Integrated Support System (ISS) to log and monitor incidents.
- Provide valuable assistance to developers in enhancing system processes.
- Support testers by addressing Test Control Records (TCRs).
- Collaborate with technical writers to document various system processes.
- Generate reports for new issues not covered by existing change requests (CR).
- Monitor monthly error reports from DBAs for insights related to assigned tickets.
- Keep customers informed about performance trends and changes in policy requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in performing Army logistics and Transportation management functions in an automated logistics management environment.
- Knowledge of life cycle support requirements, logistics management principles, concepts, policies, regulations, and military support programs.
- Familiarity with RFID/AIT barcoding in an Automated Logistics system.
- Understanding of U.S. Army transportation requirements and policies.
- Experience in a help desk environment.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective documentation of helpdesk incidents, managing escalations, and providing recommendations.
- Thorough knowledge of material and personnel movement procedures and Army ammunition regulatory knowledge.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of munitions management.
- Interaction with customers on a Tier 1 and Tier 2 level.
- Experience in analyzing and resolving complex transportation-related issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Previous experience in U.S. Army coordination and tracking of material and equipment.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
