System Specialist

EOSPACE Inc., located in Redmond, WA, specializes in developing and manufacturing the highest performance Electro-Optical integrated circuits (ICs), components, and advanced optical technology. In addition, we are actively working on a large variety of advanced research contracts, particularly for Defense and next generation of optical systems.

EOSPACE Inc. has been in business for over 20 years, with the original team spun-out of the Boeing, High Technology Center, Integrated Optics/Microwave Photonics Technology group in 1998. The work environment at EOSPACE still remains a nimble, high-tech company.

Job Description

The Systems Specialist is part of a small team responsible for IT services. This includes, but is not limited to workstation, software, and connectivity issues. The primary system environment is Microsoft Windows.

General Responsibilities

· Administrative oversite of network hardware and software, including recommendation and implementation of system changes.

· Help Desk: Actively monitor Help Desk queue, respond to and document issues.

· Administer user accounts.

· Create and review detailed documentation for knowledgebase.

· Manage Windows Workstations.

· Train users in software use.

· Test software prior to deployment.

· Assists with asset management.

Requirements:

Education: Certificate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another IT related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Experience in network configuration and management.

· Experience in Microsoft 365 Hybrid environment, including Microsoft ActiveDirectory & Microsoft Entra ID.

· Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated, and able to work under general supervision.

· Strong oral and written skills, and ability to communicate with coworkers from multiple backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience with certificate authorities.

· PowerShell and C# preferred.

· SQL Server experience.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
