- Design and layout of Fire Alarm and Integrated Security Systems.
- Prepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics required to support the installation of fire alarm and integrated security systems.
- Provide written, detailed, site-specific scopes of work for the installing contractor.
- Maintain project drawing files, associate records, and documentation tracking.
- Timely completion and processing of required paperwork.
- Provide direction and support to project coordinators and field technicians.
- Provide technical assistance to the sales team in the analysis and interpretation of job documents and code requirements during the design, estimating and proposal phase.
- Work with sales, operations, and staff to interpret specific project specifications, drawings, and system layout.
- Design systems that are within the scope of work as outlined in the sales contracts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is preferred.
- Three years' experience with low voltage design, security industry preferred.
- Installation experience with low-voltage systems, security industry preferred.
- Ability to read and understand building floor plans and schematics.
- Analytical with good problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of PC's and Windows software.
Work Requirements:
- Position may require site visits as needed for projects.
- Position may require travel with overnight stay.
