Job Description
NIRA, Inc. is looking for a System Administrator/Cloud Administrator to play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the company IT systems, both on-site and in the cloud. The individual will work closely with the corporate team to provide technical support, manage network and server infrastructure, implement security measures, and administer cloud-based corporate productivity systems like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Additionally, this position will oversee the administration and configuration of cloud-based software development platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role offers the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and make a significant impact on the organization's success. Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Administration: Administer and configure cloud-based corporate productivity systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Carry out system migrations, backups, and monitoring as required.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration and configuration of cloud-based software development platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Collaborate with project managers to ensure IAM policies meet project-specific needs and utilize tools like AWS Organizations to ensure proper allocation of cloud infrastructure costs.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Laptop Inventory Management: Manage laptop inventory, maintain records, and provision laptops based on specified configurations for employees.
- Software and Hardware Management: Manage software licenses, updates, and hardware inventory, and oversee procurement as needed.
- User Support: Provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with IT-related inquiries, including password resets and system troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3 years proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role, with experience in cloud administration.
- Strong knowledge of network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Proficiency in server administration, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms (e.g. VMware, AWS, Azure).
- Experience with DevSecOps is preferred.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, MCSA, CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
