Work is primarily performed at outdoor worksites and frequently requires incumbents to work on uneven, cluttered and slippery surfaces and around moving vehicle hazards. Work may require exposure to biological and/or chemical hazards, unpleasant smells, poisonous plants and dangerous animals, reptiles, or insects. Job may also require exposure to inclement weather (e.g., extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, wind). Incumbents in this position are required to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, safety belts, glasses, gloves, or hard hats.
Job involves physical exertion required for sustained periods of moderate physical activity such as walking on unstable ground for long distances, bending, twisting, climbing, crouching, crawling and exerting muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time. May involve occasional lifting of items or objects weighing up to 50 lbs. The job may also require the ability to use one’s hands and fingers to handle and manipulate small parts such of machinery or other equipment.
