Land Surveyor Assistant

Will train the right person.

Hiring for 4-5 days a week, Monday-Friday. 8 am until jobs are finished. Generally 8 hours a day.

Need to be able to leave from Umatilla on time at 8 am. Must have valid drivers license and be a safe driver to drive company truck. Must be able to be to work on time and work without being on cell phone.
Job Description:

• 1) Performs any of following duties to assist in surveying land: Holds level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations for mortgage surveys.
• 2) Help measures house dimensions accurately with tape measures.
• 3) Marks measuring points with keel, paint sticks, scratches, tacks, or stakes.
• 4) Places stakes at designated points and drives them into ground at specified elevation, using hammer or hatchet.
• 5) Cuts and clears brush and trees from line of survey, using brush hook, knife, ax, or other cutting tools. Must be able to climb over fences at times to find property corners.
• 6) May perform duties as directed by LAND SURVEYOR or SURVEYOR ASSISTANT, INSTRUMENTS.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 42 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
