Surgery Scheduler - Urgently Hiring

Job Description

Position Overview: Coordinates and schedules ophthalmology surgical procedures Works closely with Physician and serves as Physician support in other duties as assigned. Manages phones as necessary to schedule including patients, facilities, and physicians. Educates and supports patient on surgical procedure. Assist patient in completing all necessary preoperative steps. Schedules post-operative follow up appointments as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Highly organized and detail-oriented. Skilled in managing large amounts of information in a clear and thorough manner. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with patients. Adaptable and able to respond quickly and adequately to change.
• Completes administrative tasks related to surgery. Manage all surgical documents, gather and input patient information, and enter all post-surgery data. Ensure that all pre-surgery paperwork is completed in time for the patient's appointment including answering telephone and coordinating surgeries.
• Instructs patients in completion of medical history and information forms for surgery.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
• Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrating knowledge of ophthalmology Surgery scheduling.
• Showing proficiency in basic computer programs
