SUMMARY: Variety of tasks related to the surgery scheduling of patients
- Plans, maintains, and implements surgery scheduling and protocols for both OA and the hospitals.
- Works closely with vendors and hospitals to make sure necessary equipment is available for surgery.
- Schedule surgeries according to patient and provider availability.
- Updates and reviews coding sheets for accuracy.
- Conducts post op calls and updates notes in electronic medical records system (EMR).
- Effectively manage high call volume while maintaining attention to detail and productivity goals.
- Demonstrate professionalism, respect, helpfulness, and compassion at all times.
- Ability to recognize and respond to urgent situations per protocols.
- Effectively communicate with Medical Assistants, Providers and other co-workers.

- This position will be based out of our Vandalia location but will require travel to other offices as business needs arise.
- Health care industry experience
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility.
- CCMA, CMA or RMA certification preferred
- Must be able to provide required documentation stating that the employee is legal to work in the United States.
