In the position of team leader Supplier Quality Assurance, it is your mission to ensure process and product quality at suppliers is managed up to the defined divisional standard. Hereto you will continuously monitor and improve the quality performance of suppliers and provide support programs striving for zero defects and continuous improvement of ppm's.
Together with your team of SQA engineers, you are responsible for the evaluation of the quality systems and the quality policy of suppliers. You ensure quality audits are organized systematically and you ensure that those audits cover process and product quality as well as technical competence.
You ensure that products conform to the engineering specifications. You also ensure all suppliers are compliant with legislation and Atlas Copco standards, like the Business Code of Practice.
You will work closely together with the team leaders Sourcing and the buyers, developing continuous improvement programs to improve the efficiency of supplier's process to ensure they can meet our increasing material demand: reduced delivery times, zero defects as well and improved material flow will boost our internal efficiency as reduce our cost, and meet the needs of our customers.
The SQA team continuously Monitors the supplier's Quality performance and ensures suppliers are implementing process/product changes to eliminate errors.
To achieve these targets, you will develop and implement quality improvement programs.
You will focus on implementing systems, processes, and tools that will support sustainable results and that promote the proactive involvement of the SQA team.
You will work closely together with your colleagues from the Quality department to optimize & control the material supply chain in a quality-assured way as well as with the Engineering department to ensure on-time full delivery of the development projects.
Consequently, you and your team will take an active role in the Product development teams and promote SQA as a competence center on design-for-manufacturability in every step of the NPD projects.
You coach a team of motivated SQA engineers and strive for empowerment and development of your team members.

What we expect of you?
Educational requirements
Master's degree (Engineering/Science) is a plus and several years of relevant experience.
He/she should have a solid understanding of supply chain and quality management.
Personality requirements
He/she has a strong personality, is well structured, pro-active and quality-minded, good in people communication, assertive, open-minded, and getting the job done.
He/she has excellent leadership skills.
This job requires regular traveling within the US and some travel abroad.
