Opportunity
The Manager-Inventory Optimization role is responsible for keeping optimum inventory levels and implementation of NPIs. A key aspect of this role is the development and implementation of Inventory Optimization ideas to ensure inventory levels (Finished goods only) are at optimum levels. This position will lead a team of two and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Regional Supply Chain, Global Supply Planning, Product Management, Manufacturing Operations, Distribution Centers, Demand Planning, Finance, and any other department relevant to the management, alignment and execution of Inventory Optimization proposals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactive analysis of inventory levels in the organization to understand opportunities for improvement.
- Work with the regional Supply Chain teams and global supply planning teams to implement inventory reduction initiatives and follow up to complete implementation.
- Lead portfolio segmentation and discontinuation discussions and follow process and guidelines to develop and implement reduction proposals.
- Develop tools & reports to provide early alerts on inventory issues.
- Communicate promptly and effectively on the inventory issues and develop action plans to solve them including development of presentations to senior leadership.
- Conduct weekly review meetings with the appropriate teams to engage on Inventory Optimization activities.
- Monitor safety stock levels, perform root cause analysis on any issues discovered, and correct/adjust based on findings.
- Drive the new product introduction forecast and integration into business plans and drive the launch dates effectively.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required: Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance or Engineering.
- At least 5-7 years of leadership experience in Supply Chain management using relevant inventory management tools.
- APICS/IBF or other related certification is preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management and cost reduction initiatives.
- Travel expectations range from 10-15%

The salary range for this position is $74,000 - $93,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
