The individual will select, prioritize, initiate, and drive improvement projects and will foster the use of problem-solving tools in all areas of Supply Chain and Operations. This person will also partner closely with new product development teams on supplier selection and in defining the inbound Supply Chain of components and finished goods.

More about the Wellness Products business

The newly created Wellness Products business has been charged with becoming the premier Mind & Body Wellness provider for at home and professional spa sanctuaries. The objective of this business is to not only grow an already wellness-centric product portfolio, but also create a clearly differentiated go to market strategy with a tailored angle to captivate the target audience with unforgettable showroom and digital destinations. Applicants must be passionate about wellness and having expertise in the ever-growing market is a plus! Given the start up nature of this business, applicants must possess a bias for action, an ability to continually assess with openness to pivoting as the market dynamic changes and must be team-oriented with a willingness to dive in and support with whatever is needed. Prior start up experience is preferred.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Wellness Products business team to design Supply Chain strategies in support of growth, service, and cost directives.
  • Develop and manage project portfolio introducing new business requirements, prioritizing business needs, allocating resources, and driving successful project execution. Control the project scope, resources and quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives and achieve benefits.
  • Lead network redesign projects on behalf of Supply Chain – site openings and closings, inventory transitions, major sourcing changes, new customer adds, etc.
  • Partner with New Product Development to assimilate new products into Supply Chain life cycle management and logistics network as well as define the sourcing strategy.
  • Collaborate with S&OP to assess warehouse capacities against sales and manufacturing forecasts – formulate a clear long-term recommendation for demand and supply planning.
  • Mitigate Supply Chain risks through contingency planning, proactive event monitoring, order management, and exception management.
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with Business team leaders, manufacturing, finance and Supply Chain stakeholders as well as more broadly with KBNA Supply Chain & enterprise level Supply Chain and IT stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to leaders within the following disciplines: Supply Chain Planning, Order Fulfillment, Network Design, Inventory Management, and related IT integrations.
  • Engages and builds relationships with key customers. Interacts with key principals at the customer for strategic initiatives, presentations, dashboard reviews, and key decisions. Supports Wellness Products Team with supplier buying agreement negotiations.
  • Ensures that appropriate customer-centric metrics are in place for each initiative. Ensures measurement of both leading and lagging metrics based on customer and business expectations.
  • Identifies and communicates significant deviations in ordering, inventory levels, Point-of Sale (POS), and other key business drivers to the Wellness Products business team. Provides timely and valuable insight. Summarizes overall customer channel inputs for business team use. Leads cost-to-serve and service discussions in the business.
  • Manages Demand/Supply imbalances and works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, S&OP, and Business Teams to successfully navigate the outcome in the best interest of Kohler and the customer.
  • Measure and track performance of all activities. Create systems to measure supplier qualification and performance, to measure customer service metrics, and to measure inventory and delivery metrics against financial plan and best in class standards.
  • Manage all functions within budgets and drive cost improvement year-over-year. Develop effective organizational structures. Develop human capital: emphasize performance management, associate development and promotability, and succession planning. Develop and deploy performance metrics as appropriate.
