It Infrastructure Manager

The IT Infrastructure Manager provides technology leadership and strategic direction to the infrastructure team. The manager oversees our organization's IT infrastructure's design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization. This role requires a strong technical background in IT systems, networking, and cybersecurity and exceptional leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure strategies with business objectives and drive continuous system improvements.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
• Accountable for availability and performance of Network and Systems portfolio, ownership of incidents and support.
• Drive stakeholder satisfaction by delivering outstanding support with controlled and planned change management.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision for the organization's IT infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and manage the organization's network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with application development, database administration, and security.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary upgrades or enhancements.
• Develop and maintain IT infrastructure documentation.
• Plan and manage IT infrastructure projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT infrastructure management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proven experience in network and infrastructure management, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Technical skills in network architecture, server admin, virtualization, storage management, and cybersecurity.
• Strong experience with Cisco technologies, including networking, routing, switching, and security.
• Strong experience with VMware, Windows Server OS, and Linux systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and hybrid environments.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or relevant certifications.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Travel in a car or an airplane to connect with company locations 15% of the time.
• This position will need to be “on-call” periodically at any moment, given the critical nature of our infrastructure.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
• Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
