The IT Infrastructure Manager provides technology leadership and strategic direction to the infrastructure team. The manager oversees our organization's IT infrastructure's design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization. This role requires a strong technical background in IT systems, networking, and cybersecurity and exceptional leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure strategies with business objectives and drive continuous system improvements.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
- Accountable for availability and performance of Network and Systems portfolio, ownership of incidents and support.
- Drive stakeholder satisfaction by delivering outstanding support with controlled and planned change management.
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and manage the organization's network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with application development, database administration, and security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary upgrades or enhancements.
- Develop and maintain IT infrastructure documentation.
- Plan and manage IT infrastructure projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT infrastructure management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proven experience in network and infrastructure management, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Technical skills in network architecture, server admin, virtualization, storage management, and cybersecurity.
- Strong experience with Cisco technologies, including networking, routing, switching, and security.
- Strong experience with VMware, Windows Server OS, and Linux systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and hybrid environments.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or relevant certifications.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel in a car or an airplane to connect with company locations 15% of the time.
- This position will need to be “on-call” periodically at any moment, given the critical nature of our infrastructure.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
- Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
