We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Little Bipsy, a leading children's apparel clothing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our current suppliers, ensuring seamless production and delivery processes, and diversifying our vendor base. Additionally, the supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in handling heavy compliance issues related to the apparel industry.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management
- Oversee relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring timely production, delivery, and quality control.
- Conduct regular supplier assessments to evaluate performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize production schedules, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.
Vendor Diversification:
- Research and identify new suppliers globally, with a force on diversifying vendor sources.
- Evaluate potential vendors based on quality, capacity, compliance, and ethical practices.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with new suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Stay updated with national and international regulations related to the apparel industry, ensuring full compliance in all operations.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Address compliance issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Supply Chain Optimization:
- Streamline Supply Chain processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels, forecasting demand and ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demands.
- Implement technology solutions and tools to enhance Supply Chain visibility and tracking.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster strong communication and collaboration between internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Act as a liaison between different departments, ensuring smooth coordination and resolution of Supply Chain challenges.
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding Supply Chain performance, challenges, and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven Experience in Supply Chain management within the apparel industry, with a focus on managing international suppliers (experience working with supplies from China is preferred)
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance processes relative to the apparel market.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Supply Chain management software and tools (expeditors OMB)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
