Job Title:Supply Chain Coordination Specialist
Objective:
The Supply Chain Coordination Specialist is key to managing and optimizing processes related to our inventory and distribution operations. This role supports operational activities including the management of incoming and outgoing shipments and regular inventory checks. The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional development and growth within the Supply Chain sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process and update purchase and transfer orders in our ERP systems.
- Conduct weekly inventory reconciliations for multiple storage locations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, transportation providers, and storage facilities to gather and update information on products, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Manage and update logistics and purchase order details, such as freight details and item quantities.
- Regularly review and ensure accuracy of all orders and logistical arrangements.
- Engage in comprehensive training related to our central procurement processes to support departmental buyers.
- Adhere to and promote all necessary safety protocols and participate in safety meetings to suggest safety improvements.
- Handle end-of-month responsibilities including reconciling discrepancies, preparing reports, and managing credits.
- Oversee Vendor Managed Inventory systems, ensuring accurate reporting and communications.
- Assist in physical inventory counts and ensure data accuracy in our inventory management systems.
- Process incoming orders and finalize invoices for goods received.
Role Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required; additional experience in Supply Chain management or a related field is preferred.
- Ideally, candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, inventory management, or procurement.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of material management and procurement processes.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and quick thinking.
- Diplomacy and tact in interactions with team members and external partners.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- This position is primarily in an office setting but may involve visits to varied storage locations subject to environmental conditions.
- The role requires occasionally lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds, and rarely up to 80 pounds.
