We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings - Operations team in Muscatine, IA! 

The Supply Chain Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing all aspects of the Supply Chain, including procurement, material flow, distribution, and logistics. This role involves coordination with internal and external partners, such as suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers, to ensure efficient and effective Supply Chain operations.

What You Will Do:

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be responsible for the following objectives and supporting actions/tasks:

  • Manage daily execution of raw materials to support performance, including Purchase Order (PO) Cycle Time, Materials Cycle Time, Supplier Corrective Actions, Compressions, and Inventory Health.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to align order methods, inventory levels, and replenishment processes with defined customer lead time compliance.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships, understand lead times, identify capacity concerns, recognize performance issues affecting order flow, and communicate constraints to the network when necessary.
  • Maintain and manage procurement attributes on all procured items to drive proper replenishment processes as defined by the material framework.
  • Develop future state operations objectives to achieve operational excellence, including optimizing material costs.
  • Monitoring constraint compliance information and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Managing purchase order processes for material replenishment.
  • Monitoring supplier acknowledgments, shipments, and updating the software system accordingly.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to address performance issues, including on-time deliveries and product quality.
  • Working in partnership with the strategic procurement team.
  • Collaborating with Product Engineering (PE) and Technical Product Group (TPG) on strategic processes and New Product Introduction (NPI) items.

**Please note this position will require the candidate to work as a buyer for the first yr with 50/50 split responsibilities between buying and analytics** 

What You Have:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Transportation/Logistics.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; this is an entry-level position. Will consider candidates with 3-5yrs of hands on experience in Supply chain in leu of educational requirements. 
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Act as a mentor/manager to other team members utilizing influence without authority.
  • Proven ability to analyze, present, summarize, and provide recommendations to executive leaders.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Influence: The ability to influence and negotiate with suppliers and team members to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address Supply Chain challenges and find creative solutions.
  • Analytical: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to make informed Supply Chain decisions.
  • Desire to Learn: A strong willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends and technologies in Supply Chain management is important.
