This position is located with the State & Private Forestry Washington Office Fire and Aviation Management (WO-FAM). Serve as Assistant Director for Partnerships and Business Management and provides overall leadership and guidance for planning and execution of partnership program and business management in support of Forest Service - Fire and Aviation Management.

Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-15 grade level: You must have one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as majority of the following: Providing leadership and guidance for program planning and execution of an agency program, advisor to the leadership team on all matters related to program planning, execution and business improvement processes; cooperation with other high level experts for coordination and development program alternatives and modifications; preparing long and short-range planning guidance in accordance with program policies and objectives, and conduct continuous appraisal of resource utilization in accomplishing program objectives and goals.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
