This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC).Qualifications:
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
- Serving as a technical expert in criminal justice and/or victim services programs, performance, and/or monitoring for a wide variety of complex Tribal, including Alaska funded grants and/or cooperative agreements, such as conducting technical on-site monitoring of awardee performance to ensure compliance with financial, legal, and technical terms of the award.
- Serving as a technical expert in the program and/or performance auditing of a wide variety of complex criminal justice and/or victim services Tribal grants and/or cooperative agreements, to ensure adherence with financial, legal, and technical terms of the award.
- Developing criminal justice and/or victim services grant management policies of broad applicability, and associated agency-specific implementation procedures, to ensure the consistent application of Grants Management rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conducting the full range of complex criminal justice and/or victim services Tribal related grant closure and disposition processes, such as preparing final assessments of compliance with agency and federal requirements (e.g., disposition of property, financial and accounting reconciliation), and resolution of adverse audit findings, identifying potential problems and recommending solutions for issues identified in the review.
- Facilitating meetings, presenting to stakeholder audiences, drafting reports, and demonstrating thought leadership related to the administration of criminal justice and/or victim services Tribal grants and cooperative agreements.
