Description:
Applied Materials is growing at a pace that is driving significant increases in headcount and facilities. As a result, we expect over the next five years to have the most exciting and active project pipeline in our history. In addition to enabling this growth, Applied Materials is also in the early phases of modernizing its entire global workplace portfolio, including our HQ campus in Silicon Valley. The Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) team is responsible for all facilities, from acquisition through operation to disposition. Creating a compelling workplace experience for our employees is central to our mission. As a member of the GWI team, this position will play an exciting and important role in our success.
The role will be a member of the central team of resources that provide a range of support critical for efficient, consistent and successful project delivery. Project types include advanced semiconductor R&D labs, large scale manufacturing, logistics infrastructure, and offices. The position is based in Santa Clara and will report to the Managing Director, Global Workplace & Technology Services.

In addition to direct project delivery, the individual will identify and deliver foundational elements of a Design and Construction function that will speed delivery and drive consistency. Examples may include standardizing key project delivery processes such as establishing project pipeline, project charters, project governance, stakeholder engagement, cost estimating and tracking, scopes of consultants (AE, PM, GC, QS), project team structure, contract templates, reporting metrics, establish a pre-qualified supply chain, vendor relationship management, etc.
