Job description
- The Superintendent has within his/her direction the functions of safety, product quality, productivity, housekeeping, training, and development of the personnel; for ensuring the most efficient use of equipment and resources along with maintaining fair and positive labor relations with team members
- The Superintendent is responsible for planning and budgeting labor, materials, and overhead costs, and for meeting budget goals and objectives.
- Develop, recommend, seek approval, and assure implementation of budgets, policies, and procedures with regard to the Bakeries, Kitchens, and Production / Packaging departments.
- Develop and recommend new methods, procedures, and controls to assure the success in meeting the objectives.
- Provide the necessary information, reports, comparison, and data that may be needed to facilitate corporate decision-making and to keep the Operations Manager or Ops Director informed of operation plans, problems, and opportunities.
- Ensure the safety of team members by evaluating methods, procedures, environment, and equipment.
- Ensure that OSHA requirements are met or exceeded.
- Superintendent will ensure that all process is maintained to meet the USDA requirements as well as the various audits that will take place such as BRC audit, Siliker audit…. etc.
