About the Intern Program:

The OCC Internship Program provides students with the real-world skills to successfully transition into a career in the financial services industry. As an intern, you will help lead projects that help shape the future of OCC. This person will apply their skill set and knowledge toward tackling designated projects. This is an exciting opportunity to have a true impact on the company by designing and implementing solutions for real challenges facing the business. Here's what we're looking for:
- The intern will support department efforts to prepare for the transition from our current clearing system (ENCORE) to our future system (Ovation).
- Responsibilities may include creation of job aids and procedures, development of training materials, and participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Engagement in this project will help the intern understand and appreciate the complexity of a large-scale project and gain experience across multiple workstreams.
- The intern will also contribute to strengthening the control environment through assisting in the preparation of audit evidence, executing controls related to basic processing, assistance with management self-testing, and contributing to the review of departmental controls and testing procedures.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- An interest in the financial markets
Intern will gain experience in:
- Familiarity with the role of Central Counterparty clearing and settlement within the US options marketplace.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and experience in supporting the transition to a new processing platform.
