Job Description


ServiceNow is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join as the Director of Strategic Business Operations supporting our VP of Global Strategic Events. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination, financial efficiency, and strategic alignment across all events. Your leadership will be critical in driving the success of our events, enhancing our brand reputation, and achieving our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for all events, aligning with company objectives and audience preferences.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for all events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI optimization. Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure high-quality event delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with events, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Performance Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of events, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for event-related inquiries, providing timely updates and communication to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners. Represent the VP in meetings.
  • Operational Excellence - Develops and implements operational processes, systems, and frameworks to improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of Strategic Events. Identify areas for process optimization and drive initiatives to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in event management, with a focus on strategic planning and financial management.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in event management and marketing.
