The CIP Compliance Analyst Intern will play a vital role in supporting the CIP Asset Compliance team at RWE Clean Energy. The teams objective is to ensure our company complies with standards set by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) program. The intern will work under the guidance and supervision of our experienced compliance professionals and learn from their expertise and feedback. You will also have the chance to participate in meaningful projects, events, assignments, and information sessions that will enhance your knowledge and skills in the power industry and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure company compliance with NERC and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the NERC CIP compliance program.
- Contribute to policy development, program management, training, audits, and investigations
- Collaborate with various teams on tasks related to NERC CIP Reliability Standards
- Contribute to efforts protecting cyber assets essential for the electric grid
- Monitor and report on compliance status, identify and resolve potential issues
- Maintain documentation and evidence supporting the compliance program
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited US university, pursuing a Engineering, Computer Science, cybersecurity or a related field
- Strong interest in the power industry and cybersecurity
- Knowledge of NERC CIP standards a plus
- Basic skills in compliance, research, analysis, communication, and teamwork
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Some experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies
- Work under guidance and supervision of experienced compliance professionals
