Posi ion Summary/Job Du ies:
Posi ion Purpose: he Heal h Care Manager is responsible for assis ing wi h providing heal h and safe y services o campers and s aff.
Essen ial Job Func ions:

• Under he direc ion of he Heal h Care Manager, assis in providing heal h care and firs aid services o mee he needs of camp s aff and campers.
  • Assis wi h daily medica ion managemen and dispersion.
  • Help supervise and care for people admi ed o he Heal h Cen er for care.
  • Provide CPR and Firs Aid coverage as needed a designa ed imes and loca ions.
  • Provide direc care o s aff wi hin he scope of heir skills, he camp's heal h care manual, and rea men procedures.
• Moni or and assis in main aining heal h and safe y prac ices while working in o her areas hroughou camp.
  • Prepare a hle ic areas and wa erfron wi h adequa e wa er, sunscreen, and o her preven ion ma erials.
  • Assis in ensuring campers wash before en ering he dining area.
  • Work wi h o her s aff o minimize/elimina e heal h and safe y risks.
• Provide heal h care o mee he individual needs of camp s aff and campers.
• Collabora e wi h o her medical s aff o mee medical needs.
• Follow heal h care policies/procedures as described in he WBC Heal hcare Plan.
• Screen all campers and s aff who are arriving and depar ing camp.
• Verify heal h his ory and examina ion.
• Verify emergency au horiza ion.
• Iden ify any observable evidence of illness or communicable diseases.
• Conduc a heal h assessmen .
• Keep all medica ions used by campers and s aff.
• Supervise sani ary condi ions hroughou camp.
  • Observe daily cleanliness in he food service facili y and o her areas hroughou camp.
  • Repor any heal h problems or symp oms of illness o he Camp Direc or.
• Par icipa e en husias ically in camp ac ivi ies and mo iva e campers o par icipa e in programs o heir grea es abili y.
• Abide by all policies and procedures as ou lined in he s aff raining manual.
• Be aler o campers and fellow s aff needs. Assis wi h heal h or personal problem and/or discuss wi h nursing s aff, head counselors or camp direc or as necessary.
• Be a role model o campers and s aff in your a i ude and behavior.
• Be able o ins ruc campers in emergency procedures and si ua ions.
• O her du ies as assigned.

O her Job Du ies:

• May accompany camper off-si e in a medical emergency.

Qualifica ions:
17 years or older. Nursing Schoool, Nursing Gradua e, EMS, or Regis ered Nurse.
Physical Demands
he posi ions a camp include heavy lif ing (a leas 50-60 pounds), s renuous ac ivi ies, and long hours.
