Clinical Applications
Inpatient Systems & Services (Jose Arzate)
Join a dynamic team of Clinical Information Technology professionals for the summer and learn how Stanford Medicine delivers quality care while healing humanity through science, Technology & compassion. This is an excellent hands-on, at the bedside opportunity to see how technology supports healing humanity.
Provide support and manage tasks specific to hardware & software upgrades, incident triage & resolution and special projects like Enterprise Provider On-Call, AI for Utilization Management, Anesthesia OR optimization & Discharge Referral Optimization.
Enterprise Architecture & Integration
Integration (Ramesh Rajamanickam)
Want to be part of world class team providing cutting edge healthcare IT solutions? Want to be part of the team supports over 1 million interface transactions per day?
Responsibilities:
Design develop interfaces using Epic Bridges, IRIS for Health and Mulesoft.
Interface issues trouble shooting involves working with technologies including Encryption, Decryption, Wireshark, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, PGP, TCP/IP, MLLP, SMTP.
Develop interfaces for clinical systems integration and Data Warehouse.
Atlassian Confluence implementation.
Collaborate with teams to understand complex workflow requirements and develop technology solution options.
Enterprise Architecture (Jean-Raymond Pierre)
Join our dynamic Enterprise Architecture team to help create the future of Enterprise Architecture at Stanford Health Care.
Assist teams in developing architecture blueprints for the healthcare delivery systems of the future. See a birds-eye view of how business, process, and technology work across the entire enterprise.
Assist with Enterprise Architecture by learning EA methodologies, processes, principles, and tools to further the program.
Use off-the-shelf technology as well as custom built tools and APIs to integrate and surface organizational data from different sources to achieve our goal of “hyper-transparency” in an effort to create ever more accurate models of the enterprise environment.
The expectation is that you are a driven, motivated individual that can take directions but independently research and work on deliverables. Analytical approach to problem solving is a must. Knowledge of Office tools like spreadsheets, presentations, and drawing/diagramming is preferred. Programming language and database/information system knowledge is desired but not required.
Solution Architecture (Gregory Resler)
As a Solution Architect Analyst intern, your role would involve gaining hands-on experience and contributing to various aspects of solution architecture under the guidance of more experienced professionals. Here are some common projects, assignments, and duties that an intern in this role might be involved in:
Learning and Training:
Acquire foundational knowledge of solution architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Participate in training sessions to understand the organization's technology stack and architecture frameworks.
Assisting in Requirement Analysis:
Support senior architects in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
Learn to conduct stakeholder interviews and document user needs.
Documentation:
Assist in preparing documentation such as architecture diagrams, system workflows, and specifications.
Learn to document technical decisions and solutions effectively.
Shadowing Senior Architects:
Shadow experienced solution architects in meetings and project discussions.
Observe how senior professionals interact with stakeholders and make architectural decisions.
Assisting in Solution Design:
Contribute to the design of solution architectures under the guidance of senior architects.
Gain exposure to designing scalable and secure systems.
Project Support:
Assist in project planning activities, such as developing timelines and project plans.
Learn to collaborate with project managers and contribute to project-related tasks.
Collaboration with Development Teams:
Work closely with software developers to understand the development process.
Assist in code reviews and gain exposure to coding standards and best practices.

Learn about quality assurance processes and contribute to testing activities.

An intern in this role would have the opportunity to learn and apply foundational skills in solution architecture while gaining exposure to real-world projects and scenarios. Biomedical Engineering (Michael Kozuma)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate/graduate intern to join our Biomedical Engineering department at Stanford Health Care. The intern will play a key role in organizing an upcoming conference focused on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Healthcare.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the organizing team to plan and execute various aspects of the AI and Healthcare conference.
Assist in coordinating logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual requirements.
Manage communication with speakers, sponsors, and attendees to ensure a smooth event experience.
Contribute to marketing efforts, including social media promotion and designing promotional materials.
Support registration processes and address inquiries from participants.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled candidate to join our summer internship program. The ideal candidate will be a college student with strong interest and educational experience in data and analytics. Technical skills in Excel, Tableau, Python, and SQL would be desirable. This individual will play an important role supporting our Business & Finance Analytics teams and our Enterprise Data Governance program.
Responsibilities:
Assist with managing, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets
Utilize SQL to extract and manipulate data from databases
Assist with report generation and presentation to communicate findings to the team
Assist in the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries and other data governance artifacts
Apply data analysis techniques to help evaluate data quality, identify data inconsistencies and help in their resolution
Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs, and then work to fulfil those needs
Help in automating data analysis and extraction processes
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of information at all times
Participate and contribute to team meetings and professional development opportunities
Skills:
Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college or university with a major in computer science, data science, statistics, or relevant field
Proficiency in Excel, Python, and SQL is recommended
