We are now hiring Substitute Teachers throughout the St. Louis area. No previous experience required!

Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher or relief teacher.

Minimum requirements:

• At least high school diploma or equivalent
• Requirements as set by the Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE): https://dese.mo.gov/educator-quality/certification/substitute-teachers

Responsibilities:

Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:

Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans covering various classroom topics and courses.
Assigning Reasonable tasks and homework.
Long term assignments may require developing lesson plans and creating, administering and grading tests and assignments.
Building positive relationships with other teachers, school staff, and students.
Creating a classroom environment that motivates students to learn, encourages classroom participation, and matches the education needs and interests of the students.
Using various instructional techniques to adapt to different learning styles.
