SUMMARY: Report directly to the Substitute Teacher/Leave Coordinator or building Principal. To provide temporary support for classroom teachers in case of teacher absence, in order to ensure continuity of instruction for students.

- Supervise areas of specific responsibilities as they relate to the classroom or program setting.
- Follow established classroom routines as outlined by building principal and /or teacher lesson plans.
- Follow lesson plans provided by the teacher.
- Make every effort to continue the instructional program.

Must meet one of the following requirements below to obtain your Substitute Certification from DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education):
- 36 college credit hours
- OR Completion of Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training program
- Ability and personality to work with colleagues, teachers, and other staff
- Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Year: School Year
Salary: Substitute rates:
- $140/day for a day to day Substitute Teachers
- $230/day for long term Substitute Teachers
- These rates will become effective on 07-01-23
