St. Regis Academy, in partnership with parents as the primary educators of their children, seeks to provide a Catholic Classical Liberal Arts Education centered on Christ. We seek to cultivate an environment that fosters a scholar's natural desire for Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. St. Regis Academy prepares scholars to think critically, reason logically, articulate clearly, and engage others persuasively. Our enrollment includes racial, ethnic, and economic diversity within the Body of Christ, providing a wealth of opportunity for scholars to grow in virtue by pursuing spiritual, emotional, and academic excellence. By the Grace of God, St. Regis Academy seeks to be a locally recognized leader in graduating young men and women who are spiritually and academically prepared for a lifetime of discipleship.
The Substitute Teacher will provide support to the lead classroom teacher by temporarily assuming the leadership role of the classroom in the teacher's absence. The substitute will implement the pre-planned lesson plan and will provide guided support to scholars as needed. The Substitute Teacher's ultimate job is to model best classroom management practices and provide consistency for scholars by maintaining a calm, supportive and structured environment.
The ideal candidate would have experience in an elementary school and possess knowledge of Classical teaching.
