1) Providing exceptional customer service to our students, staff, and other visitors - serve as a welcoming, positive presence and treat all students with courtesy and respect
2) Phone support - answer incoming calls, return voice mail messages, and make calls to students
3) Front counter support - help students in person at the Student Financial Aid front counter and occasionally in the lobby. Assist with general questions.
4) Assisting students with navigating the HCC website, Self-Service, and general college questions
5) Data entry of received documents into student database
6) Scanning student paperwork
8) Assisting with mailings and any special projects
9) Completing on-campus errands and provide assistance to office employees
10) Any other office related tasks
Special skills needed
Previous customer service experience and phone experience; strong typing and computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as database applications; exceptional writing and verbal communication skills; ability to lift up to 20lbs
Requirements
MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE FALL 2023 SEMESTER.
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS.
UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.
