Opportunity:
- The Student Services role is responsible for promoting student success through accurate and responsive advisement in the areas of academics, attendance, NYS licensure and career services areas, providing support and advocacy as needed for students throughout the student life cycle.
- This position serves as a primary point of contact for currently attending students and graduates.
- Student Services reports directly to the Administrative Manager and Campus Director.
Responsibilities:
- Student Appointments/Communication: Meet regularly with students and graduates regarding educational concerns and provide referrals to outside counseling services when necessary. The method of connecting with students will be through incoming and outbound phone calls, text messages, and emails.
- Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP): Track student attendance and grades in accordance with BPSS compliance to determine student academic standing. This may include placing students on academic warnings, probations, and terminations. This is accomplished through the distribution of progress reports and SAP checks.
- Student Documentation: Create and complete contract addendums that adjust student enrollments including Leave of Absences, Suspensions, Schedule Changes, and/or Drops/Reinstatements. Frequent file auditing is required to ensure State and Federal compliance.
- Career Services: Support students and graduates with resume building, interview techniques, and connection to job leads. Responsible for coordinating with team members to hold bi-annual Career Fair and Beauty Expo.
- Graduation: Hold bi-weekly meetings for upcoming graduates to review completion requirements. Accurately finalize and distribute graduation documentation.
- NYS Licensing: Assist students with Appearance Enhancement license applications and booking State Board licensing exams. Provide support regarding Appearance Enhancement Laws for New York State.
- Surveys: Distribute and complete a comprehensive review of surveys three times per year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
- 1 year or more of customer service or related experience required
- 1 year or more of experience in Higher Education is desirable
- Ability to work a variety of office hours including evenings
- High level of interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and time manage effectively
- PC skills in Microsoft Office, Internet applications, and database software
- Experience with Student Management Systems desired

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
