The Department of Prevention and Community Health in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University is recruiting a Research Specialist to play a key role on research related to health equity. This person will work within Dr. Dangerfield's research lab and be critical in the execution of several research studies in various research phases.
Position Specific Summary
Our research:
- Includes a broad range of methodological approaches (e.g., secondary data analyses, longitudinal studies, qualitative and quantitative research);
- Focuses on a broad range of multilevel influences (e.g., individual, interpersonal, community-level, policy);
- Addresses sexual health equity for racial and sexual minority groups
This position carries out research/development activities by using quantitative and qualitative methods to collect, analyze and report data activities. The core responsibilities of this position include data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, note taking, and protocol development. This role is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particularfield.
Standard Position Description
The student will perform administrative and research tasks under general supervision by a faculty member or research coordinator. Tasks may include: contribute to peer reviewed research and write research memos of findings, assist with presentations, supervision and training of other student staff, write and run statistical programs to analysis data. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.
