Student Parent Relations/ Front Office Support -Temporary Position
- Daily: adjust student attendance and transportation changes
- Sort and distribute mail
- Print out faxes/distribute/send requested information
- Answer phones/direct calls
- Assist office manager as needed
- Assist with attendance and student dismissal
- Sign and Log in visitors and students
- Supervise students waiting for transportation
- Student Parent Relations and administration Support
- Transportation:
- Process applications for new students
- Verify applicants addresses
- Complete Buffalo Verification packages and submit to District
- Coordinate transportation for bussing when BPS is not in session
- Update transportation procedures
- Contact parents with changes in transportation/cancellations of busses.
- Liaison with Bus terminals and parents
- Data entry: Student registration, verification of student data
- File student report cards, student suspension letters, medical notes, release forms as received
- Log requested data in software and required excels
- Assist with student lottery, admissions and reenrollment
Requirements:
- Preferred knowledge of transportation procedures, Buffalo Public School District Coordination, but not required
- Must have clear fingerprint record through NYS Teach requirements to work in a school
- The temporary position will be available for approximately 8-12 weeks, potentially through February 2024
- Candidate should have some computer knowledge, basic Microsoft Office Skills, and be detail oriented
- Must display confidence, ability to work as a team, and be able to remain calm in "high pressure" situations
- Pay range $16-23/hr.
- Hours 9-5, Monday through Friday
