ABOUT THE ROLE:Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services at Helping Hand and in accordance with stated agency policies and procedures, the Physical Therapist will provide physical therapy services across the agency to students in the Helping Hand School as well as clients in the Helping Hand Outpatient Clinic and Adult Program. This position may also provide supervision for physical therapy students and internship placements.
A TYPICAL DAY FOR YOU AT HH:
- Complete evaluations for students and clients to assess the various functions and skills related to physical therapy development.
- Write formal evaluation and assessment reports that include useful information for programming when necessary.
- Participate in the development of writing IEPs and treatment plans across program areas.
- Develop and implement treatment plans and school groups incorporating IEP goals.
- Develop materials for implementation of treatment plans and programming.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
- Conduct required evaluations and reviews as well as write appropriate supporting reports.
- Plan, implement, and supervise gym activities, equipment, and safety.
- Provide in-service training to team members and others as appropriate, including new staff orientation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
LAND THIS OPPORTUNITY BY HAVING:
- A current State of Illinois License for Physical Therapy
- The ability to conduct physical therapy assessments via team and individual evaluations.
- The ability to plan and conduct individual and group therapies.
- Experience working with children 3-21 years (preferred).
- Experience with children and adults with special needs (preferred).
- Ability to fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency, including but not limited to crisis management (crisis management training includes de-escalation strategies and physical management techniques).

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:
- On-site position, Monday-Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Salary range $63,000-$72,000/year (Exempt)
