- Compensation Range: $ 66,560 - 80,000/year
The Student Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the Student Accounts Department, including assisting with financial aid aspects and coordinating efforts with campus Directors of Financial Aid to ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- General GAAP knowledge
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Understanding of general accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Understanding of general financial aid principles and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate sensitive financial information to prospective and current students in an understandable manner
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills
Credentials and Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in student accounts processing, financial aid or administration
- High School degree or GED required
- Two year degree in related fields of accounting, finance, business, administration, etc. preferred
- Knowledge of current Title IV and Federal and State regulations regarding Student Financial aid
- Prior related work experience preferred
Special Requirements:
- Flexible schedule – may include: evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Attendance at Platt College Graduation Ceremony required
