Description:
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the F22 Program in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:- Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs.
- Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Civil Engineering
- Experience with CATIA V5 or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience with structural design
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience with metallic and composite structural design
Desired Skills:
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing
- Model Based Definition (MBD) experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position:
