Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Staff Structures Design Engineer for the F-35 Program in Fort Worth, Texas. Our team is responsible for F-35 Forward Fuselage, Outer Wing and Doors Airframe Structure Design. The F-35 Team is delivering cutting edge capabilities to a growing number of domestic and international customers, with the Airframe Team responsible for the engineering definition to support all Production, Retrofit, Upgrades and Repairs. With over 990 aircraft delivered to 17 Allies and Partners, the sun never sets on the F-35 Program.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Structures Design Engineer F-35 you will be responsible The applicant will be responsible for developing, reviewing, submitting, and obtaining approval of complex Non-Recurring Engineering estimates. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents
• Creating aircraft layouts to support formal engineering releases/configuration changes
• Coordination and problem resolution with internal and external Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Civil Engineering
• Experience with CATIA V5 or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
• Experience with structural design
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Experience with metallic and composite structural design

Desired Skills:

• Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with PDM or other PLM systems
• Model Based Definition (MBD) experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
