About the Role
We're inviting applications for a seasoned Aircraft Structural Liaison Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role provides an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to apply their expertise in aviation engineering. You'll be vital in evaluating and resolving engineering problems to ensure our aircraft structures' highest quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and resolve engineering issues related to manufacturing, installation, design quality, and materials.
- Analyze engineering specifications and drawings; collaborate with design engineers, quality, material, and manufacturing teams to provide and obtain technical details.
- Investigate reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems.
- Examine, measure, inspect, or test defective parts for conformance and evaluate findings to formulate corrective actions.
- Perform cost and weight studies for alternative design concepts.
- Support the preparation and execution of detailed project plans.
- Perform fundamental structural analyses and demonstrate fluency in aircraft fasteners and material properties.
- Communicate effectively during design review meetings and coordinate efficiently with FAA, DERs, and customers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Structures, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Structural Liaison Engineering.
- Proficiency in an engineering CAD program and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrable experience in aircraft structures and certification, including FAR Part 25 certification of structures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, repair and fabrication practices, aviation hardware, and general aircraft maintenance operations.
- Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience with STC modifications preferred.
- Team player, as this is a critical component of the position.
