Nemours is seeking a Strategy Portfolio Manager to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Orlando, FL.
The Strategy Portfolio Manager position is responsible for managing the development, execution, and implementation of strategic initiatives. This individual manages execution of multiple, complex strategic plans from the organizational level to the tactical level. They are responsible for delivering high quality portfolios and facilitating achievement of strategic objectives in collaboration with executive owners. Portfolio management includes advancing the work, maintaining coordination between areas of intersection, navigating organizational vetting and oversight processes, and facilitation of associates at all levels.
Essential Functions
- Guides, manages, and contributes to high quality strategic portfolios to reach organizational objectives, including all initiatives, metrics, resource and communication needs. Maintains all documentation, including status reports, project plans, data, decisions, with attention to detail and quality. Responsible for gathering qualitative and quantitative information to produce high quality status reports to executives and board.
- Demonstrates strategic and innovative thinking, utilizing proven project management, lean, process improvement, data analytics and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate at all organizational levels and works effectively in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
- Effectively responds to time sensitive issues, meets deadlines, and manages shifting priorities in a timely, and thorough manner.
- Prolifically communicates the strategic vision, mission, organizational structure, and processes, teaching and coaching at all levels. Ability to understand and interpret complex systems; understand both the "big picture" and the details and communicate both with ease; ability to synthesize complex information in various mediums to meet the needs of the audience.
- Uses established escalation mechanisms and daily management system to identify, document, and seek resolution on major issues and risks, along with a willingness to go above and beyond to resolve issues by encouraging ongoing identification of barriers and facilitating problem solving using continuous improvement principles.
- Builds and maintains strong positive relationships at all levels across the organization; Ability to provide project teams with direction, motivate people to perform, leverage separate realities, provide feedback, and set expectations.
- Demonstrates excellent foundational consulting skills and possesses the highest levels of professionalism through written and verbal communication, facilitation and presentation skills, and strong executive presence. Seen as resource to executive cabinet and other senior leaders for all strategic plans and content.

Knowledge, Formal Education, and Training
- Bachelor's degree.
- PMP preferred.
- Background in project management, strategy deployment, continuous improvement, and healthcare.
- Extensive knowledge of Continuous Improvement problem solving methodologies and lean leadership.
