About The Role The Strategy Analyst will be responsible for performing a wide range of data-driven tasks and assisting with the development of strategic recommendations to support Frontier's pursuit of state and federal broadband grants. This position will serve a key role in the strategic analysis of broadband maps and project development.
Responsibilities Perform GIS database development, analyze large and complex datasets, and support all mapping initiatives Develop and implement new automation to streamline GIS workflows Analyze state and federal maps and contribute to the delivery of strategic recommendations Analyze datasets from various sources while thinking strategically about data use and accuracy of data Develop maps and cost estimates for county, state, and federal grant applications Perform desktop surveys and create high-level fiber designs for county, state, and federal grant applications Perform spreadsheet analysis of key data points and produce reports for senior leaders Validation of reporting data, prioritization of incoming requests, ownership of internal projects Define and implement reports that transform GIS data to provide insights about Frontier's network as it relates to various initiatives Identify the positive and negative impacts of a given GIS analysis on potential fiber network builds Conduct strategic analysis around Frontier's network and financials in Grants space for senior leadership Required Qualifications Strong analytical skills to identify data patterns, trends, and relationships from multiple datasets Proficient in using spatial applications such as ArcGIS, MapInfo, and Google Earth Intermediate knowledge of SQL and database development Ability to use and edit shapefiles and geodatabases An understanding of geocoding An understanding of budget preparation and cost estimates Intermediate working knowledge of location point data from sources like USPS, Precisely, TomTom, GeoResults, Experian, Smarty, and the US Gov Intermediate working knowledge of FCC 477 data and Broadband Data Collection Intermediate working knowledge of US census-based spatial data Intermediate working knowledge of passive optical networks Intermediate working knowledge of outside plant design Intermediate working knowledge of fiber-to-the-home networks Very strong personal organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment Enthusiastic, self-directed, and able to problem-solve and interact with stakeholders across the organization, especially executive-level Must be well-organized and must be able to communicate well with both internal and external customers Must be extremely comfortable with MS Office Salary Range: $68,000 to $141,000 Frontier salaries are estimated by third parties and may or may not reflect actual or total compensation.
