THE POSITION
AsStore Operations Director (Full-time Hourly), you will lead a specific store in partnership with the General Manager (GM) and build and retain a high performing and diverse workforce of Sales Leads and team members. In collaboration with the GM you will also be responsible for communicating, inspiring and leading our vision and strategy to the store team and partner's management team. Also, in partnership with the GM, you will lead the store team to meet EBITDA goals, sales goals, per caps and all Operating and People objectives through execution, coaching and accountability. In addition, in partnership with the GM you will be responsible for hiring, training, guest service and operational excellence. You will demonstrate a mastery of the register system and authorized to handle special transactions to include returns, and price overrides. You will also be responsible for maintaining good relations with your respective partner and building a web of relationships throughout the partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail store management
- Ensure that the highest level of guest service is provided
- Focus on hiring and developing a team that aligns with our company's core values.
- Identifies, develops and leverages existing talent to meet both short term and long term business objectives
- Training and development of our training programs focused on operational excellence, product knowledge, and guest service
- Resolve HR/guest service issues in partnership with Store Leadership and HR
- Build strong relationships with team members to align and support execution of store specific business results
- Create a learning environment.
- Foster Partner and Store Support Center team member relationships to support business initiatives and growth
- Achieve store's sales, per cap and EBITDA budget
- Achieve store's payroll rate, inventory goal and expense targets
- Consistently looks for methods to reduce expenses for maximum sales productivity
- Collaborate with Store Leadership to identify trends, resolve issues and drive store strategies to meet shrink goals
- Responsible for cash wrap functions and assisting Lead Cashier and Service Representatives with returns, price overrides and special transactions
- Effectively utilize reports to analyze business trends and opportunities to make effective business decisions
- Executes short and long term business goals in partnership with Store Leadership
- Responds and reacts to all communication in a timely manner
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 5+ years of retail management experience required
- Strong retail sales background, strong merchandising abilities, an entrepreneurial spirit, great interpersonal skills, and love to sell
- Ability to show dynamic leadership, hire and train staff, and motivate staff to promote maximum performance
- Ability to understand and follow all guest service programs
- Proven ability to create a positive work environment
- Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts
