Physical Requirements:The ability to sit forlong periods of time in front of a computer monitor. Ability tooccasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Shift:Work Shift: Monday – Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
Hours Per Week : 40
Evaluate student files for purpose of scheduling final and qualifying exams; approve doctoral advisory committee and approve any committee modifications; communicate with directors of
graduate studies regarding potential deficiencies and resolve issues related to the administration of each exam, as required; maintain program reference materials related to degree requirements.
Monitor progress towards completion of degree requirements; oversee student files of all degree candidates; certify completion of degree requirements; reviews formatting requirements for dissertations and thesis prior to acceptance and publication.
Review electronic thesis and dissertations for format andsatisfaction of technical requirements; cooperate with universityarchives for proper archiving: and maintenance of ETD guidelines.
Must have excellent planning and organizing skills and exhibitdependability and
attention to detail. Must be able to work independently as wellas in the team
concept. Should have excellent communication skills in additionto customer service
orientation. MS Word, MS Excel, general computer fluency anddatabasemaintenance skills are necessary.
