Shift:

Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; and evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Summary:

To assist in actualizing our mission, we seek candidates for the position of Admissions Officer. This position’s job responsibilities are as follows:
Application Management:

  • Develop, implement, and manage an application protocol for the College of Social Work, including prospective students, admitted students, and influencers (e.g., advisors, faculty, referring institutions, etc.)
  • Continuous monitoring of application processes, and implementation of correspondence with students who have started applications or have pending materials
  • Respond to student questions about application fee payments where applicable, maintain correspondence with prospective students and assist in processing application files
  • Model and promote excellent and timely customer service to all constituents
  • Review applications as appropriate and ensure timely progression through the admissions process
  • Work with Graduate School to ensure timely application progression

Admissions Coordination:
  • Create and implement a strategic approach for prospective student engagement and admissions for the College of Social Work
  • Ensure a timely response to the established text, phone, and email inquiries
  • Meet with prospective students to identify degree and career possibilities, and work with program advisors to ensure a seamless transition from application to admission in the respective program
  • Support recruitment in planning and executing preview days, info sessions, and open houses
  • Ensure applications are completed through the respective systems

Administrative/Student Support:
  • Interface with students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis
  • Appropriately direct issues/questions regarding Student Services and Admissions to the Associate Dean or respective program director
  • Create and maintain student rosters (emails, contact information, linkblue IDs)

Quality Assurance in Matriculation Process:
  • Perform degree audits to ensure students are appropriately enrolled and on track for degree completion
  • Provide quality assurance in matriculation through completion of degree program, ensuring compliance with program model in sequencing courses
  • Ensure Leave of Absences and Deferrals are processed and students appropriately processed upon returning to the program
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

This position requires use and knowledge of Slate and SAP.
