About us

We are a STEM enrichment program called MGenius Academy, located in Newton. We are searching for enthusiastic, creative, and leadership-oriented STEAM part time teachers/ Summer Camp counselors. As a member of the team, you will have the chance to share your passion for STEAM with children. You'll have many opportunities to inspire curiosity and creativity in young minds as you guide them through a variety of engaging STEAM projects. MGA is committed to creating a free space for exploration and an open creative environment for more kids. It aims to provide immersive engineering education experiences so that more kids can become independent and capable "little engineers." One of the critical skills emphasized by MGA is problem-finding and problem-solving. kids are encouraged to approach challenges with an engineering mindset and develop the ability to solve problems effectively. They can tackle issues systematically and find innovative solutions by applying critical thinking, analytical skills, and creativity. This approach nurtures their problem-solving skills and empowers them to think like engineers when facing real-world challenges..

Job requirements:

- Passion for the STEAM field, particularly with a strong background in mechanics/electronics engineering and programming.

- Excellent communication skills, able to build rapport with children

- Strong sense of responsibility, capable of assisting and guiding children in completing STEAM projects

-Familiarity with Laser Cutters; 3D Printers; Arduino is a plus.

- Experience in teaching or working with young children in an educational setting

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Ability to engage and inspire students through interactive and innovative teaching methods

- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and their practical application preferred

- Previous Summer Camp director experiences will be a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
