Reports to: Director of Golf
General Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing and regulating the commencement of play and ensuring a consistent speed of play on a daily basis. This role involves actively engaging in providing exceptional customer service for all outside services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all guests.
Essential Duties:
- Promote the game of golf and facility programs to all guests who visit San Juan Oaks.
- Greet and assist guests on first tee with course information and questions.
- Ensure guests are teeing off at designated tee time.
- Monitor pace of play on course to adhere to San Juan Oaks policy.
- Report any medical emergencies on the golf course to the Golf Shop.
- Report any problems to the golf shop immediately.
- Enforce all San Juan Oaks course rules including, but not limited to, golf carts, fivesomes, soft spike policy, and smoking policy.
- Assist Guests while on the course.
- Maintain Communication with golf shop and outside service for pace of play policy and emergencies on course.
- When marshalling the course, monitor and dispose of all trash/debris
- Maintain basic first aid items in marshal cart.
- Keep supply of pencil scorecards and player assistance cards in marshal cart.
- Assist Director of golf and golf shop managers with daily tasks or other duties assigned
- Support tournament operations.
Minimum Requirements
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience at a golf course, golf club or related hospitality environment
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, sits, walks, talks and hears. Frequently uses hands. Regularly reaches with arms and hands. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions; may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License
