Reports to: Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
Purpose:
The Landscaper is responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, and beautification of outdoor spaces within the golf course facilities. This role involves performing a variety of landscaping tasks, including planting, pruning, mowing, irrigation system maintenance, and general landscape maintenance duties. The Landscaper ensures that golf course facilities landscapes are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing.
Essential Duties:
- Perform various landscaping tasks such as planting flowers, trees, shrubs, and grass, as well as installing landscape features like walkways, retaining walls, and decorative elements.
- Conduct regular maintenance activities including mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to ensure the cleanliness and neatness of facilities landscapes.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, including adjusting sprinkler heads, repairing leaks, and communicating programming watering schedules to the Superintendent to ensure optimal plant health and water conservation.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed, following safety protocols and regulations to promote plant growth and control weeds, pests, and diseases.
- Remove debris, leaves, and other litter from landscaped areas, sidewalks, and parking lots, maintaining a clean and presentable appearance.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently, including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and small hand tools.
- Communicate with Superintendent and General Manager to understand their landscaping needs, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while working with landscaping equipment, chemicals, and materials to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticultural practices, and landscaping techniques.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Physical Demands: This position requires large physical demands. This employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hand to handle and operate objects, tools or controls. Lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move more than 100 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. Must be able to handle working in extreme weather conditions from cold, hot, and rain.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
