Position Summary:
Under supervision of the Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Staffing Partner will be primarily responsible for GWH’s efforts to identify,
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Works with GWH’s hiring managers to identify employment needs and to coordinate the proper documentation of open positions including
Supports external staffing initiatives and supports community partners as needed.
Works with District Directors for Donated Goods Retail (DGR) to determine recruitment strategy for open positions. This includes pursuing
Reviews the Donated Goods Retail (DGR) Vacancy Tracker for each location with the District Directors, or designated management to accurately
Analyze successes and challenges within the recruiting process, suggests, and implements creative solutions for current and future challenges.
Drives and directs all sourcing actions with DRG Leadership in conjunction with HR. This includes but is not limited to posting, screening
Supports Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition with recruiting for professional staff openings.
Manages our selected staffing vendors and invoices to ensure that GWH receives quality service and that we are stewards of our funds.
Prepares recruiting progress reports for management regularly and when requested.
Completes hiring process for candidates identified by hiring managers for a GWH position. This includes but is not limited to initiating a criminal
Coordinates the GHW team member enrollment process for the candidates who have been selected for hire within an assigned district(s).
Conducts pre-employment background checks and drug screens as required.
Extends offers of employment to selected candidates.
Conducts in person onboarding new hire check in and assist if a manual hire process is needed.
Completes employer requirements for verification of I-9.
Communicates with prospective Team Members and assists them with data entry and document upload requirements throughout the
Ensures the investment, confidentiality, and integrity of the staffing process for all new hires in GWH. Files all designated document in the
Training & Experience:
Employment advertising to attract quality talent.
Basic Personnel practices and basic knowledge of employment law.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong insight and ability to assess viability of candidates and exercising discretion accordingly.
Practical knowledge of screening, interviewing and pre-employment procedures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform day-to-day responsibilities independently and with minimum supervision.
Ability and flexibility to work on multiple tasks, ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with visitors, team members and team leaders.
Ability to deal with the public and overall workforce in regular and unstructured settings with a high degree of sensitivity,
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends if the need arises.
This position may require travel to multiple locations daily within the greater Houston area using personal or public transportation.
Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred. Additional course work in various HR disciplines a plus.
2 or more years specifically in phone recruiting or staffing agency with supervisory experience preferred.
In-house recruitment experience hiring retail, manufacturing, or equivalent positions.
Windows Operating System, HRMS; Microsoft Word, Works, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Outlook.
Critical Performance Factors:
Appropriate staffing and distribution levels for Staffing team (15-20 placements per week FT, 4-6 PT).
Accurately complete daily, weekly, and monthly staffing tracker in SharePoint.
Customer Survey Questionnaire Score vs actual score of 4.0<.
30/90-day Turnover rate vs LY.
Integrity of pre-screening, internal recruitment, external staffing process.
Payroll as a percent of Revenue (26-32%).
Sales per Labor Hour ($40<).
