The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within Montana State Hospital.
The Montana State Hospital (MSH) in Warm Springs provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana that serves people admitted from communities across the state.
Job Overview: The Staffing Office Manager provides direct supervision and oversight to the Staffing Office. This position coordinates and provides direction on time and attendance for all staff at Montana State Hospital. Additionally, the Manager maintains staffing and associated pre-payroll records for Nursing department personnel.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- Ability to efficiently use a PC.
- Intermediate skill in using MS Excel and Word.
- Knowledge and understanding of best practices in staffing and timekeeping fundamentals.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze, assemble, and organize information.
- Functionality in the use of computer communication technology.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years supervisor experience
- Two (2) years Accounting, payroll or directly related experience
- One (1) year of experience in scheduling function for 100 FTE or more preferred

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.
This position is open until filled with frequent screening of applicants.
